Artist's Comments

So here is the colored version of "Goose's Gumi" which can be found in mt scraps.

Remember, all these characters are =manic-goose's! I did not create the characters. I did however draw and color this piece.

So here are my thoughts on each characters.

Koji :
He's the blackish purple haired guy. Anyway I'm really not to happy with his hair. It's such a weird color that I'm not use to so it confuses me for some reason. I also think it's the style of his hair that confuses me as well. I do like how his chocolate bar and his background came out though. He has a bubbly background that makes me :giggle: Other wise his eyes and face are okay. I think I can do better on him.

Kiala :
Blonde girl. I like how she came out. Her hair came out nice as did her eyes. Her background I think is pretty cool and I think I also did a good job on the hand that's holding the fan. I could have colored her earring a better color though. Over all I like how she turned out.

Ryu :
He's my favorite out of the four. I think his skin turned out beautifully as well as his eyes. I really like how the book came out and the background is pretty stylin'. I think I should have added more shine to his hair though, but that's it. I really like how he turned out. He's reading a romance novel but don't tell anyone. *whispers*

Maikai :
If you can't tell who I'm on right now you need to get your brain checked. Anyway, I don't really like how she came out. I fixed her eyes a bit so they don't look as creepy, but she still looks pretty weird. Her wings came out okay as did her background. I really need to work on cats more. :no:

So over all I say I like it. Needs some touch ups here and there. Oh! The reason why the colors look faded is because of my scanner. I think I need to clean it or something. Anyway I hope this is alright. :aww:

It is ectremely unique. THe way you used your coloring material is unique and the way you colored the skin also is extremely interesting. I like the flying kitteh :3(for I am one also). *cough* getting back into character*cough* I love your style of drawing these figures. 100 stars for that! I also noticed your wonderfully drawn hands. Im gonna fav this because it really does brighten up a profile or a day in a life! The impact could do some work but overall excellent. Taking a picture with meh mind.....that's gonna go in the memory bank. Keep up the work!

I'm going to write a critique... but it will be jaded a little because these are my characters. I love it.

I think you draw Koji best... I love his expression and the chocolate bar, Kiala looks beautiful, and the fan is a great touch. I also love the earing, I might use it some time. I think it is proper that you gave Ryu a book, since he is the thoughtful one of the group, and you got Miakai's colors perfect.

Suggestions: You can draw the nostrils... I think that is what the two line at the bottom of the nose are for... closer together on Koji, Ryu's hair is a little more sporadic, with the occasional hair going in a different direction from the rest. Kiala could have more of a crisscrossing part... since that is the kind of part she has.

Miakai: I'm going to give you a few kitty drawing tips here... start by drawing a sort of fat diamond shape for the head, then add the ears... I don't think I need to tell you where. When i draw cats, I start with the triangle of the nose sort of half way between the middle of the face and the bottom of the face. I tend to make the nose small. You got the eyes in the right place... more or less, the could be a bit lower and slanting upward. The mouth has more of an upward turn toward the nose, less straight, so it looks like you are drawing a hill almost and it can be closer to the nose. That is all I can think to easily say for drawing kitties for now... maybe I could make a kitty tutorial some time. :laughing:

Overall, I love the picture, you did a great job portraying them and their personalities. Thank you so much.
